| Vacation Time!! |

So, for those of you that didn't know I'm currently on vacation with my family. Right now we're in Soriano, Italy. It's a little town about an hour outside of Rome.
So far, I've spent one day in London. Went on the eye of London and have a lot of pictures that I'll put up later when I have a more reliable internet. Then had lunch at the royal princess bar and restaurant. Had Bangers and Mash there and learned that I like it Toad in the Hole rather than regular. Also, the British must find it amusing to name stuff so it sounds like a euphanism for sex. Also dragged my parents' heavy suitcases all through the London underground. Still feeling the pain from that. >.<
First day in Italy was spent getting our car and heading out here to Soriano. Found out that the restaurant downstairs from our condo is very very tasty. Day 2 was spent on a walking tour of the little town here. Rather interesting and very quaint. Afterward we just hung out and then went to the special Italian Sunday Dinner special they had for people staying here. Was a lot of fun and my dad got totally inebriated. I left before he started insulting the gay guy at the table. -.-
Day 3 (yesterday) we went to the Monster Park. Essentially, this guy in the 1600's had too much money and was somewhat crazy. He had all these rocks carved into monsters and legendary figures. Have pictures of that as well to upload later. Then we went to a natural thermal spring. It's a public park, so it was free, but man was that water hot! Some of the pools would have scalded the skin right off of me. Then went to check out one of the nearby lakes. Was nice and we hung out in the shade for a bit. Came back and had fun at the Dinner and the Opera night. Was kinda like Theatro Zinzani except with more Opera and less acrobatics. XD Lot of fun.
Today we head to Pompeii to look at dead people. (Excitement)!! Update later with details!

This was a triumph. I'm making a note here; huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
It's finally done. And I'm very pleased with how it turned out, especially the armor pieces. I'll be posting a post-mortem on the whole costume sometime tomorrow, probably. I'm too worn out tonight and it's already 1:30am. Anyways, going to post all the pictures for the day and then the finished product!

So, with the convention coming up this weekend, Thala and I are working our asses off today and tomorrow to get this costume done. Last weekend we didn't get a lot of visible progress done, so I didn't post any pictures (I also kinda forgot to take any pictures) so you'll see a few here...
Last week didn't go so well because when we mixed the paint together it didn't get any more purple than it was and ended up the wrong color
( Wrong color! )
It turned out that the blue paint was opaque, but the purple wasn't. Which meant that the color wouldn't show through the blue. Having bought new opaque paint during the week, we mixed us a new color. Turned out just right. ^^ (please note that the color of the paint is off in a few pictures because of lighting. It's a kinda light blue/purple that looks more and more purple the longer you look at it. (this is a trademark of the Dragoon armor!)

So the next step in the process was to add the silver accents. I'm really proud with how this turned out.

So, we still have quite a bit to do, but as long as we persevere tomorrow and don't slack off I'm sure that we can do it. Thankfully we'll be using fabric hot glue instead of sewing. That will make things go so much faster. ^^;
I apologize if any of the pictures aren't working or the code is wrong. I'm nursing a slight headache from the stench of the sealant we're using and I've been awake since 6am this morning. ::yawn::
