AX Day2
And it continues. Figure I better do this in one go or we'll have weeks between each day. Again, WARNING: BIG PICTURES.


Day started off fairly well. We didn't really have any reason to be at the convention center early, so we took it slow in the morning. Luke called the airline to ask to change flights only to find out that it would cost him an extra $120 to do so. He decides not to. The rest of us cosplay up and we're at the convention center by 11:30, half an hour before the Anna Tsuchiya concert. We wander around, get our picture taken and overall have a good time. By the time that we get to the concert there is no line and still lots of good seat tickets. We get in and sit down. The concert starts half an hour late, but we didn't have to stand in line waiting so we were content to sit. The concert was FABULOUS. Way way better than the S.K.I.N. one. Had a lot of fun. Afterwards we were getting kinda thirsty and hungry so we headed over to the mall type area across from the convention center to see what they had.

We found that the restaurants were all overcrowded so we just headed to 7-11 to pick up some drinks. I really wanted to see the One Piece photo shoot, so we headed back to the convention center. The others weren't really as interested in standing in the sun so we split up, them heading up to the terraces to hang out and whore for photos and I headed to the front of the lobby for the photo shoot. I took way too many pictures to post them all here, so I've stuck them into 6 slideshows. I really hope these work...

After that was over, I figured that the fastest way to get to the terrace theaters was to go through the Dealer's Hall. More pictures were taken.





Made it up to the Terrace Theaters and took some more pictures.





Once I got there we were told of a cosplay contest that was being held in the dealers room. We set off on there. More pictures.





Took part in the costume contest. Lost to shounen-ai and then to a rock. Was pretty sad. It probably didn't help that we were across the way from the yaoi booth. Here's some pictures of the other entries:




Afterward we headed out to the lagoon to catch the end of the Naruto Photo shoot. I honestly would have liked to see the whole thing, but pickers can't be choosers. Or something...















Afterward I took a break on the lawn while the rest of the group went off to watch the second Death Note live action movie. Was nice taking a break and my feet were very happy with me afterward. Around the time that it was to let out I headed up to the terrace theaters and got some more pictures of cool costumes.





We grouped back up and decided to head to the 7-11 again to pick up some stuff to eat for dinner. (more pictures)



Sam knew how to use the coffee machine in our hotel room to make instant ramen, so we grabbed some of that and then headed back to the hotel. We ate and then headed to sleep after figuring out what we were going to do for day3.
